    WHAT: World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar Kurt Angle will
        kick-off the "Smackdown Your Vote! at Sam Goody" national
        voter registration drive at the Sam Goody in Circle Center
        Mall on Tuesday, July 23. Volunteers will be at the event to
        help fans register to vote.

        Angle is the honorary chairman of the Smackdown Your Vote!
        campaign, organized by World Wrestling Entertainment and other
        partners, which has registered more than 200,000 new young
        voters since the 2000 presidential campaign. Smackdown Your
        Vote! also reached out to more than 12,000 high schools
        throughout the country for National High School Voter
        Registration Month in May 2002.

    WHO: Kurt Angle greeted the world with his gold-medal performance
        at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta where he won the
        220-pound freestyle wrestling competition. In 2000, he greeted
        the world again, only this time as a World Wrestling
        Entertainment rookie.

        His rookie year with WWE was arguably the best year for any
        Superstar in the WWE's history. He began by winning the
        European and Intercontinental Titles and proceeded to win the
        2000 "King of the Ring Tournament." But the highlight of his
        career came on November 22, 2000, when Angle, "The American
        Hero," defeated "The Rock" and captured the Championship.
        Angle has served as honorary chairman of Smackdown Your Vote!
        since being installed in that position during the Presidential
        Inauguration weekend in January 2001.
