WHAT: Country artist Toby Keith is slated to sign copies of his
latest album Unleashed at Sam Goody Central on Friday, July
26.
WHO: Country star Toby Keith is a native of Oklahoma and began
playing the guitar at age 8. In 1984, Keith began his music
career as a member of the Easy Money Band, a popular nightclub
country band.
In the early 90s he moved to Nashville where he landed a solo
deal with Mercury Records. His self-titled, debut album
included the singles "Should've Been a Cowboy," which became a
number one hit, "He Ain't Worth Missing" and "A Little Less
Talk and A Lot More Action" which both made the Top 10.
Currently, his album, Pull My Chain, is No. 9 on Billboard's
Top Country Albums chart. Also, the debut single, "Courtesy of
the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" from Unleashed,
is No. 4 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart,
and No. 35 on the Hot 100 chart.
Unleashed will be released nationally on July 23.
