      WHAT: Local urban artists not yet signed on record labels, will
        perform at Sam Goody Central in the Mall of America on Friday,
        August 17.

      WHO: The musical talents of J. Isaac, Young Mennace, Estaire
        Godines, Malo Bria, Wain Mcfarlane, LA, VoiceMale and Alex
        Whitfield, will prove that the Twin Cities are filled with
        talents that are sure to change its musical landscape.

          Forward Recordings, a Minneapolis-based company, has put
        together Unsigned Twin Cities, an album that contains eighteen
        tracks recorded by each of the nine local artists. Each artist
        provided two tracks on the album, which show a wide spectrum
        of musical genres. The unsigned artists have been making
        numerous appearances throughout the summer to introduce the
        public to their music.

          Unsigned Twin Cities was released on June 26, 2001. The record
        can be found in record and retail stores throughout Minnesota,
        and is also sold online at www.unsignedrecordings.com.
