WHAT: Sam Goody is slated to bring rock group, Def Leppard, to
Mall of America on Saturday, July 27, to perform and autograph
copies of the group's new album X.
WHO: Def Leppard formed in 1977 in Sheffield, England, and is
composed of members Joe Elliot (vocals), Phil Collen (guitar),
Vivian Campbell (guitar), Rick Savage (bass) and Rick Allen
(drums).
Their debut album, On Through the Night, placed high on both
the U.K. and U.S. charts and their sophomore album, High and
Dry, marked their platinum selling album status making Def
Leppard one of the most successful pop-metal bands of the 80s.
Through their sounds of metal and pop, Def Leppard has
produced hit songs and Top 20 singles such as "Love Bites",
"Pour Some Sugar on Me," and "Rocket." Their new album X will
be released nationally on July 30.
