      WHAT: International tenor star Michael Amante is scheduled to
        perform at the South Street Seaport on Thursday, June 21,
        2001.

      WHO: Fast- rising international tenor star Michael Amante
        discovered his serious vocal potential while singing in a
        church choir at the age of six. Michael Amante grew up as a
        second generation Italian- American in Syracuse, NY, and is
        hailed as "the tenor of the new millennium."

          Michael Amante is produced by eight time Grammy award winner
        Phil Ramone who has worked with musical legends such as Frank
        Sinatra and Tony Bennet. Michael Amante has previously sung
        for Pope John Paul II and Luciano Pavoratti, as well as
        appearing on Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, where he was
        quoted as "the Fourth Tenor."

          Amante has just completed his first self-titled recording for
        Medialist Entertainment, and is scheduled for release in June
        2001. This debut includes high art opera like "Nessun Dorma"
        as well as traditional Italian songs such as "O Sole Mio" and
        the never before recorded "Ho Bisogno D'Amore."
