ADVISORY/Photo Opportunity: Best Buy Brings Fun Zone to San Diego Street Scene; Fully-Equipped Vehicle Takes Technology, Fun on the Road.

ADVISORY...for Friday - Sunday (Sept. 6 - 8)

    What: The Best Buy Fun Zone, a mobile marketing and entertainment
        destination, is available for media tours. The traveling Fun
        Zone features:

        --  The latest technology offered at Best Buy stores,
            including products that create a state-of-the-art bedroom,
            kitchen and high-definition home theater.

        --  An interactive gaming area with video game pods featuring
            the latest video game systems, and egg chair digital music
            pods complete with interactive video screens.

        --  An expandable stage for events.

        The Fun Zone creates the environment of a fully networked home
        within the interior of the 53-foot trailer. A series of 14
        monitors show the superior picture quality and clarity of
        flat-panel LCD and plasma TV, using video streamed through an
        advanced audio/video/Internet network. The Fun Zone also
        features a touch-panel remote system that controls all of the
        trailer's audio, video, Internet and lighting devices. Other
        product highlights include a prototype refrigerator from
        Whirlpool, a 50-inch wide-screen, high definition plasma TV
        from Pioneer, Alienware computers and a satellite radio system
        from XM Satellite Radio.

        People who attend Street Scene can tour the Fun Zone to
        experience all of the technology first-hand and discover new
        ways to integrate the products into their lives, helping to
        make their time more fun and productive.

        Also at the Fun Zone, Best Buy has joined Discover Card and
        ESPN College GameDay to give football fans the opportunity to
        audition for The Discovera Card Gets You on GameDay Challenge.

        Armchair quarterbacks can have their audition tapes created at
        the Fun Zone for The Discover Card Gets You on GameDay
        Challenge. The contest will bring them out of their seats and
        into the action, giving them a chance to debate their Bowl
        Championship Series (BCS) picks with Lee Corso, Chris Fowler
        and Kirk Herbstreit on the New Year's Day broadcast of ESPN
        College GameDay.

    When: Friday, Sept. 6 - 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
          Saturday Sept. 7 - 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
          Sunday Sept. 8 - 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
