WHAT: Phillips International has planned a special celebration for
its employees on Friday, August 1, to build excitement for its
30th Anniversary cruise aboard the Disney Wonder, which will
take place September 4-7. In 1993, Phillips International
Chairman and President Tom Phillips took his employees and
their families on an expense-paid trip to the Walt Disney
World Resort to celebrate the company's 20th Anniversary.
Now, 10 years later he is taking his employees and their
families (1,300 people in all) on a three-night Disney Cruise
Line vacation.
The "Disney Day" festivities will include:
-- Chairman and President Tom Phillips will kick off the
event with a pep talk to employees.
-- A contest featuring employees dressed in Disney-themed
garb (hats, t-shirts, etc.), with prizes to the "Best
Dressed."
-- A "Best Workspace" Contest, where employees compete for
prizes by decorating their office space with Disney and
cruise-themed items.
-- Plus, Disney-related trivia contests and raffles.
