WHO: Peter Chambers, CEO of RBN, will be presenting at this year's Telecom
Investor Forum (TIF) at SUPERCOMM 2002. He will be presenting in the optical
networking track, discussing the state of the market, the opportunities
available in RBN's market space, how RBN is addressing the needs of the market
and an overview of RBN and where it currently stands as a company. Prior to
joining RBN, Chambers was executive vice president and CFO/treasurer of LHS
Group (now Sema Group), a global provider of operating support system software
and services to the communications industry. Chambers also served as vice
president for PT Excelcomindo, a provider of a national GSM cellular service.
Additionally, Chambers served as executive director in the telecommunications
practice, Australia for Coopers & Lybrand Consulting. Earlier work experience
includes consulting with KPMG Management Consultants. RBN (Redfern Broadband
Networks) is a designer and developer of optical transport and switching
products for the access and metro markets. The Company's mission is to be a
successful global operation through the development of next-generation optical
network systems that will be initially targeted at the US and Asian markets.
RBN has identified and addresses a key issue -- an imbalance between carrier
revenues and costs. RBN addresses the issue by designing and developing
products that enable carriers to offer lower cost broadband services. Designed
for simplicity and flexibility of use, small form factor, low power usage and
low cost of ownership, they push the boundaries of optical networking closer to
the end-user. RBN's business model is to market and distribute its product
through leading communications manufacturers and solution providers. WHAT: The
Telecom Investor Forum at SUPERCOMM offers a uniquely clear view of prospective
entries into today's financial markets. The Forum seeks to showcase true
entrepreneurs who have overcome financial hurdles to thrive, not just survive,
in these challenging times. The 2002 event will feature CEOs selected from the
up and coming private telecom companies.
