WHO:    Carol A. Ptak, vice president and global industry executive,
        manufacturing and distribution industries at PeopleSoft, is an
        authority on enterprise and supply chain management systems
        and demand-driven manufacturing. Ptak co-authored "Necessary
        But Not Sufficient," a book about how to leverage technology
        to improve the bottom line, with Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt.

WHAT:   Ptak will deliver the opening keynote at this year's PharmaIT
        Summit. Her presentation, titled "Necessary and Sufficient:
        Ensuring Technology Positively Impacts the Bottom Line," will
        address how integration strategies relating to people,
        business processes, and technology enable companies to gain
        competitive advantage. She will also discuss the history of
        ERP implementations and demonstrate that technology, while a
        necessity, is not sufficient to drive bottom line return.

        In addition, Ptak will participate alongside several other
        industry executives in an Executive Panel titled,
        "Implementing Enterprise Wide Solutions." Executives will
        address how their roles are evolving within the current
        business environment and what the future holds for integrated
        technology solutions and business processes.

        The PharmaIT Summit is an annual conference for the
        pharmaceutical industry. The summit covers IT issues for every
        functional group in the pharma enterprise and provides
        educational tracks on manufacturing and supply chain,
        enterprise operations, sales and marketing, and research and
        development.
