WHO:    Avila Kilmurray, whose work to bring peace to her native
        Northern Ireland is highly regarded throughout the world, will
        speak in Los Angeles as the special guest of the California
        Community Foundation on October 11. Kilmurray is President of
        the Northern Ireland Voluntary Trust.

WHAT:   Kilmurray will be the keynote speaker at the California
        Community Foundation's Legacy Society luncheon, where donors
        to the foundation, local religion leaders, policy makers and
        nonprofit leaders will gather to discuss the challenges of
        building stable societies. Kilmurray's thirty years of
        experience living and working under the constant threat of
        conflict and violence give her impressive insight into the
        subject of terrorism and its impact on communities.
