On Thursday, May 18, 2000, and Friday, May 19, 2000, two renowned Paul Mitchell(R) hairstylists will make consecutive day guest appearances on NBC's "Later Today" program.

During May Sweeps, "Later Today" is featuring a weeklong series on great hair. Hosted by Jodi Applegate, Florence Henderson, and Asha Blake, "Later Today" is broadcast live with a studio audience Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time). "Later Today" is taped and re-broadcast at 9:00 a.m. Mountain, Central, and Pacific times.

On Thursday, May 18, 2000, Angus Mitchell, Paul Mitchell(R) Platform Artist, will focus on straight hairstyles. He will discuss the best techniques to create stick straight hairstyles on all textures of hair, as well as how to maintain those looks even in summer's worst humidity.

On Friday, May 19, 2000, during the finale segment, Robert Cromeans, Paul Mitchell(R) Artistic Director, will showcase the most outrageous summer hairdos imaginable, some using a stapler (yes, a stapler) and a fork to separate and style hair. He will also offer advice on how to protect hair during the summer months, how to achieve cool styles during hot weather, and tips on keeping hair looking good while traveling.

Angus Mitchell, son of the late Paul Mitchell, who co-founded John Paul Mitchell Systems(R) with John Paul DeJoria in 1980, joined the company as a hairstylist in January of 1996 after studying with Vidal Sassoon.
