ADVISORY/Paralympics Hopeful to Pass the Torch to Tomorrow's Leaders as Drexel Hosts Accepted Students Day.Assignment Desks ADVISORY...for Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week. (April 18) --(BUSINESS WIRE)
What: Having a disability does not stop Travis Mohr from pursuing
his dreams. In fact, Travis is a champion. The Drexel civil
engineering major won a Gold and Bronze medal in swimming in
the 2000 Sydney Paralympics even though he was born without
femur bones in his legs. He now has his sights set on the
2004 Paralympics to be held this August in Athens, Greece.
As part of this year's Accepted Students Day, Travis will
share his key to success with 2,400 invited students and
their family members. He will explain how through positive
thoughts we shape our lives, implement our decisions and aim
to realize our dreams.
In addition to hearing Travis' inspirational message,
Accepted Students Day is designed to answer all the last
minute questions students may have before deciding if Drexel
is the place for them. The potential freshmen will interact
with current Students, get a close up look at campus life and
experience what being a Drexel student means.
