ADVISORY...for Saturday Saturday: see week; Sabbath.  (Sept. 6)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

Initiative is Part of Cub Foods' Campaign to Collect 35,000 Pounds of

Food in 35 Days

WHAT:
The need for donations at area food shelves is great, and Twins'
fans are encouraged to help support their local food shelves and
take part in breaking a food drive record. Cub Foods and the
Minnesota Twins ask Twins' fans to donate non-perishable food
items at the Metrodome Plaza prior to the Minnesota Twins game on
    Saturday.

In support of Second Harvest Heartland, Cub Foods hopes to set a
local food drive record by collecting 35,000 pounds of food in 35
days - an average of 1,000 pounds of food every day, in honor of
Cub Foods' 35th Anniversary. The food drive began Aug. 31 and
donations will be accepted through Oct. 5 at all 44 Twin Cities
Cub Foods stores. Cub Foods will match the public's donation
    pound-for-pound for a total of 70,000 pounds.

Food donations at the Twins game will be accepted from 9 a.m. to
noon. The game begins at 11:05 a.m. Fans dropping off donations
will be entered in a prize drawing to win one of 10 $100 Cub Foods
gift cards. Winners will be announced during the game.

six states. Cub Foods' efficient buying, volume purchasing and
disciplined format bring low prices, innovation and convenience to
