ADVISORY...for Saturday - Sunday (Aug. 3-4)

    What: PEMCO Classic vintage-hydro heat at SEAFAIR. Five
        open-cockpit, piston-powered boats from the 1950s and '60s --
        all restored by Seattle's Hydroplane & Raceboat Museum -- will
        take a warm-up lap, then "compete" in the 3-lap PEMCO Classic
        exhibition race. Seattle-based PEMCO Insurance is the sponsor
        of this event, now in its fourth year.

    Who: Miss Burien, Miss Madison (from the upcoming MGM film
        "Madison" starring Jim Caviezel, Jake Lloyd, Mary McCormack,
        and Bruce Dern), Miss Century 21 (Bill Muncey's record-setting
        hydro), Miss Budweiser, and Hawaii Kai III -- all driven by
        Seattle-area residents.

    When: Test session: Saturday, August 3, at 2:25 p.m.

        PEMCO Classic: Sunday, August 4, at around 3:00 p.m., prior to
        the General Motors Cup at SEAFAIR final heat

    Where: Stan Sayres Pits and Lake Washington race course, Seattle.


    Cost: $32 General admission for Saturday and Sunday ($25 Sunday
        only), $20 weekend pass when purchased in advance from 76 gas
        stations.
