WHAT: At the 2004 National Association of Secretaries of State
Winter Meeting, government officials, technology executives,
industry influencers and decision makers will gather to
discuss the improvement of voter registration processes and
state systems, e-government services and election reform
policies at the state and national levels.
WHY: In 2002, the U.S. government passed the Help America Vote
Act (HAVA), which required every state to have a new voter
registration system in place by the beginning of 2004. To
date, less then a quarter of US States have yet to meet the
deadline and have requested extensions.
In order to help states meet the mandate, PCC Technology
