WHAT:    Orthopaedic Hospital and the West Side Advisory Council
         celebrate the grand opening of the new Orthopaedic Hospital
         Institute in Santa Monica. This evening will feature remarks
         by James V. Luck, Jr., M.D., president, CEO, and medical
         director of Orthopaedic Hospital, as well as a traditional
         ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Santa Monica Chamber of
         Commerce. Prominent government, community and business
         leaders, as well as renowned orthopaedic physicians will be
         in attendance. The opening of the Orthopaedic Hospital
         Institute marks the first step in the alliance between
         Orthopaedic Hospital and Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.

WHY:     The Orthopaedic Hospital Institute recently opened in Santa
         Monica, to bring state-of-the-art orthopaedic resources to
         patients living on the Westside. The Institute offers
         comprehensive medical care for musculoskeletal conditions,
         including a children's clinic, which provides care to all
         pediatric orthopaedic patients without regard to their
         family's ability to pay.
