DETAILS: Optibase will introduce its new MPEG-4 PCI hardware encoder
-- MPEG MovieMaker 400 -- the newest addition to the
company's family of PCI encoding platforms that is ideal for
organizations that want to implement surveillance, training,
video conferencing and business TV solutions. Other Optibase
products to be demonstrated at IBC include:
-- MPEG MovieMaker 200S Publisher VOD is compatible with
CableLabs(R) VOD requirements. The MPEG MovieMaker
200S Publisher for VOD is an addition to the company's
line of high-end MPEG and Dolby Digital encoding
platforms. Other enhanced features include DVB, ATSC
and Dolby certification, which all support Dolby 5.1
pass through and DTV-CC EIA 708 Closed Captioning.
Optibase is also announcing IMX/MXF compliancy,
enabling its encoders to substitute NLE systems in
Ingest systems to form cost effective solutions.
-- MGW 2000e, Optibase's multi-channel MPEG-1 and 2
encoding and streaming platform, is designed to offer
high quality, live and on-demand video content across
enterprise networks for applications such as TV to the
desktop, training, monitoring and surveillance. The
newly enhanced product features a traffic shaping
mechanism that improves video quality at any
connection speed. MGW 2000e is compatible with the
RealOne player, QuickTime player and QuickVideo
software suite to form a complete end-to-end streaming
solution. For applications that require low latency,
Optibase has created its own player, on display at
IBC.
-- MGW 2400 is a multi-channel Windows Media
hardware-streaming platform. Designed to enable
high-quality video streaming at bit rates starting as
low as 64Kbps, MGW 2400 encodes up to six live
channels and has the ability to stream up to 48
unicast or multicast users (with or without an
external Windows Media Server).
-- MGW 5100, the Company will demonstrate real time
transcoding (DVB to low bit rate MPEG-2) of live TV
channels together with Orca, a provider of broadband
TV applications at the Orca booth 2.230. The MGW 5100
is a carrier grade TV streaming platform that performs
high quality encoding and transcoding of MPEG-1,
MPEG-2 and Windows Media formats. MGW 5100 is capable
of streaming over IP and ATM broadband networks and
