, turns 40 this year. As part of the celebration, a series of events has been scheduled to reflect the activities that surrounded the opening of the Space Needle and the 1962 World's Fair.

On July 14, the Olympic Brass Ensemble will take stage to pay tribute to the chamber bands that performed at the Century 21 Exhibition. The five-piece band, led by Gordon Ullmann, consists of two trumpets, a horn, a trombone trombone [Ital.,=large trumpet], brass wind musical instrument of cylindrical bore, twice bent on itself, having a sliding section that lengthens or shortens it and thus regulates the pitch. The descendant of the sackbut, it was developed in the 15th cent.  and a tuba tuba (t`bə) [Lat.,=trumpet], valved brass wind musical instrument of wide conical bore. . The smooth melodies are sure to wow the audience.

The Seattle based band is no stranger to performing at home. They have performed several times on KING FM as well as at different events throughout the Puget Sound Puget Sound (py`jĕt), arm of the Pacific Ocean, NW Wash., connected with the Pacific by Juan de Fuca Strait, entered through the Admiralty Inlet and extending in two arms c. . The group marks the third of five weekend concerts at the Space Needle dubbed dub 1

 "Summer Sundays." The goal of all the activities is to honor those who performed at the Century 21 Exhibition as well as get the community out and enjoying the long summer days.
