ADVISORY...for Saturday-Thursday (April 21-26)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

NxtWave Communications Inc.

Company's Chief Scientist Presenting Advanced Television Systems

Conference (ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) An international digital television (DTV) standard adopted by the U.S., Canada, South Korea, Taiwan and Argentina. )-Compatible Two-Tiered Broadcasting Format

WHO: NxtWave Communications Inc. develops broadband
communications integrated circuits (ICs) for set-top boxes,
digital televisions, graphics and video cards to enable
consumers to receive video and data in an entirely new and
innovative way. NxtWave's exclusive technology gives
          manufacturing customers (and ultimately consumers)
          significant cost and performance advantages.

WHAT: -- Products using NxtWave chips will be displayed at the
NAB/ATSC/CEA DTV store in the Grand Lobby of the Las
              Vegas Convention Center.

-- NxtWave will meet with customers, journalists and other
interested parties at a conference room in the Las Vegas
              Hilton.

-- NxtWave's chief scientist Chris Strolle will deliver a
              technical presentation titled, "Introduction of
              ATSC-Compatible Two-Tiered Broadcasting Format" during
the session titled DTV Transmission: Part II.

The two-tiered enhancement to the ATSC digital
television standard allows a broadcaster to transmit a
more robust data service simultaneously with the normal
ATSC video payload. This packet-based enhancement will
allow broadcasters more flexibility in expanding
broadcast services and reaching greater target
              audiences. Computer simulations and field-trial
              performance results will be presented.

This event is targeted to media and those attending the
              55th NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference.

WHY: In conjunction with other topics, this technical
discussion will provide the most recent technical
analysis and practical data available from the areas of
              DTV comparative testing, standard-setting, propagation
              and transmission.
