) will donate approximately 50 pieces of communications and crime deterrent equipment to the two law enforcement agencies A law enforcement agency (LEA) is a term used to describe any agency which enforces the law. This may be a local or state police, federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).  at a special ceremony to be held on Thursday, Sept. 21.

The equipment was purchased through a federal grant of approximately $250,000 obtained by CPDC, a nonprofit community organization, from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD Hud (hd), a pre-Qur'anic prophet of Islam. As part of its Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Program, CPDC provides equipment to the law enforcement agencies that they vitally need but don't have the funding to secure. Law enforcement, working as a partnership with CPDC, provides additional manpower in key target areas.

At the presentation ceremony, a wide variety of the equipment will be displayed, including: computers and networking equipment, digital cameras, color laser jet printers, night vision binoculars, breaching tools and patrol bicycles with NightRider flashing lights and sirens. LAPD and FBI officials will be on hand to comment on the need for and usage of this equipment.
