WHAT: Nominations are now open for the 8th Annual Deloitte
& Touche Technology Fast 500 and Fast 50 programs.
The Fast 500 ranks the fastest growing technology
companies in North America. The Fast 50 is a
regional ranking of the fastest growing technology
companies in 20 regions in the United States and
Canada.
HOW: Winners are selected based on the percentage of
growth in revenues from 1997 to 2001. To be
considered, Fast 500 and Fast 50 entrants must meet
the following criteria:
-- Be a technology company, defined as follows:
-- Owns proprietary technology that contributes to
a significant portion of the company's operating
revenues. Using other companies' technology in a
unique way does not qualify.
-- Devotes a significant proportion of revenues to
research and development of technology.
-- 1997 operating revenues must be at least $50,000
USD or $75,000 CD, and 2001 operating revenues
must be at least $1 million USD and CD.
-- Be in business a minimum of five years.
-- Have headquarters within North America.
-- For Fast 50 programs, visit www.fast50.com for
the individual geographic boundary requirements.
In addition, the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 will recognize 25 "Rising Star" winners, chosen from companies that have been in business three or four years. Criteria to be eligible for the "Rising Star" status is the same as the Fast 500, except the designation is based on percentage revenue growth over three years (1999 to 2001). These companies will be recognized as "Rising Stars" on their way to becoming Technology Fast 500 winners. Companies can nominate nom·i·nate tr.v. nom·i·nat·ed, nom·i·nat·ing, nom·i·nates 1.
