Business Editors

ADVISORY...

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

WHAT: On May 23, 2003, FDA approved the VISX (NYSE:EYE) WaveScan(TM)
system for customized wavefront-guided laser eye surgery in the
treatment of nearsightedness. This highly customized approach
creates a new laser eye surgery procedure called CustomLASIK
that improves both visual acuity, and the overall quality of
vision, such as increased visual crispness and clarity.

WHO: Renowned San Diego and Orange County Ophthalmologist, Dr.
Franklin Lusby is available to comment on this new technology.
TLC Laser Eye Centers located in Brea (www.tlcvision.com) is one
of the first centers nationwide to receive this newly approved
     system.

WHY: The additional information that wavefront technology provides
will help select the best possible treatment for each individual
patient. Dr. Lusby will be able to provide an even better quality
of vision to typical LASIK patients and to some additional
patients who were in the past not candidates for conventional
     LASIK.

WHERE: TLC Laser Eye Centers, 910 E. Birch Street, Suite 350
       Brea, CA 92821

WHEN: Call Donna Leeds at (562) 856-0219 or Elvis Mirzaie at (714)
257-0560 for surgery schedule dates and press interviews.
