Grace Industries, Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of stand-alone Personal Alert Safety System (PASS) devices, has provided the fire/rescue services with state-of-the-art life safety products since 1974.

During the aftermath of September 11, 2001, Grace worked with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to equip rescue workers at both the World Trade Center and the Pentagon with PASS systems critical to personnel safety.

On April 11, 2002, the 7th month anniversary of this horrible tragedy, Grace Industries will officially introduce the system at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) 2002, at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis.

The T PASS 3 Evacuate(TM) System provides the answer to the age-old question in the fire service, "The building is about to collapse, how do I get the firefighters out?" The system uses proprietary spread spectrum `smart signaling' to perform the following functions:

-- Identify, by name, all firefighters present on the emergency scene

-- Provide immediate notification, by name(s), of all firefighters in distress

-- Offers the ability to send an Evacuation Signal to individual firefighters,
groups of firefighters, or all firefighters on the scene

-- Provides electronic acknowledgment that the Evacuation Signal(s) were
received

The T PASS 3 Evacuate(TM) System functions independently of the voice radio systems used by fire/rescue personnel, which are frequently jammed with traffic, making it difficult to get Firefighter Distress, Mayday, or Evacuation Signals to those whose lives depend on them.
