Entertainment Editors & Music Writers

ADVISORY...for Tues. (May 14)

--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)
WHO: Gavin DeGraw, the artist Time Out New York called "New York's Best Kept
Secret" has just joined Clive Davis and J Records. Gavin, a soulful and
stirring musician, lyricist and vocalist, has been writing and composing since
age 8. And this summer, Gavin DeGraw has confirmed monthly performances at the
intimate New York venue Joe's Pub. Earlier shows garnered rave reviews from
publications such as the Village Voice who boasted, "He bellows out the best
live rendition of Marvin Gaye's `Let's Get It On' you've ever heard." An
irresistible combination of multiple talents, downtown hipness and boyish good
looks, Gavin DeGraw was uncovered 3 years ago by Debbie Wilson, owner of the
famed Wilson's, which was a discovery ground for blossoming soul and R&B
artists. Faking his way into open mic night, Gavin's performance was so
memorable that the buzz on the artist was instantaneous. Now signed to J
Records, he will begin recording his debut album, which will be released in
early 2003. DATES: TUESDAY, MAY 14 9:30PM THURSDAY, JUNE 13 9:30PM TUESDAY,
JULY 16 9:30PM TUESDAY, AUGUST 13 9:30PM VENUE: JOE'S PUB 425 Lafayette Street
between Astor Place and E. 4th Street
