WHO: The Gemological Institute of America's (GIA) annual Jewelry
Career Fair. The event is free and open to the general
public.
WHAT: GIA's Jewelry Career Fair, considered the single-most
important recruitment day in the gem and jewelry industry,
is the only event of its kind that unites world-class
jewelers -- Tiffany & Co., Chanel, Bvlgari, Lux Bond & Green
-- and leading-edge designers -- David Yurman, Henry Dunay
-- with people who aspire to new careers in luxury retail,
jewelry design, gemology, marketing and more. More than 40
firms will be participating in this year's event.
Free interactive workshops and one-on-one career counseling
lead participants to new job opportunities as they network
with industry executives and interview for current
positions.
Marc Dorio, author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to the
Perfect Interview," will present a workshop on interviewing
skills.
