ADVISORY/Network ICE Responds to Inaccurate Reporting About Windows Millennium Compatibility.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

ADVISORY...

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

WHO: Network ICE's team reinforces their product's compatibility
with Windows Millennium (Win Me). Recent articles inaccurately
reported Network ICE's BlackICE Defender product as still
being incompatible with Win Me, an operating system for
home-PC users. Win Me focuses on system reliability and three
additional areas, i.e. digital media, better Internet support
        and new home-networking features.

WHAT: Network ICE developed BlackICE Defender 2.1.cl to address the
lack of compatibility with Win Me and released the BlackICE
Defender 2.1.cl version to the Network ICE download web site
on July 24, 2000. Since then, Network ICE released BlackICE
Defender 2.1.cn, an updated version of BlackICE Defender
        2.1.cl.

WHERE: Network ICE Headquarters
        2121 S. El Camino Real, Suite 1100
        San Mateo, CA 94403

WHEN: Network ICE BlackICE Defender 2.1.cl release, compatible with
Win Me, was posted on Network ICE's download web site
        on July 24, 2000.

WHY: Network ICE is dedicated to the integrity of their product
line and to support the latest upgrades and product offerings
ensuring compatibility with all Windows platforms including
        Win Me.
