WHAT:   Will announce a partnership to bring a two-week video game
        programming workshop to 100 high school students in four Urban
        League cities next month. Urban League affiliates in
        Pittsburgh, Penn., New York, NY, Sacramento, Calif., and
        Battle Creek, Mich., will host the workshops and cover the
        workshop tuition for 25 high school students.

        The workshop is an introduction to the exciting world of video
        game programming and is a unique opportunity for students to
        see what it takes to create a video game. Students will learn
        abstract topics such as C and C++ programming, fundamental
        game development concepts and how to apply abstract concepts
        studied in mathematics, science, and art classes to real-life
        experience.

        Each DigiPen workshop will feature two instructors from
        DigiPen Institute of Technology, the leader in video game
        development education. Microsoft has generously donated
        powerful programming software as well as X-Box t-shirts for
        all participants and an X-Box for the student at each workshop
        who wins the "best student competition."

        Urban League of Pittsburgh President and CEO Esther Bush;
        Sacramento Urban League President and CEO James Shelby and
        Battle Creek Urban League President and CEO Ken Little will be
        available for a Q&A session.
