WHAT:  Promoting the meeting of cultures and their gradual evolution,
       the Honorable Dato' Abdul Kadir bin Haji Sheikh Fadzir, the
       Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism, and the Kedah Cultural
       Dance Troupe of Malaysia present "Malaysia Truly Asia."

       The free performance will feature a 45-minute dance
       presentation of 23 dancers and five musicians showcasing a
       collection of dances that depict the harmony of Malaysia's
       ethnic races. The dances feature elaborate costumes and
       headdresses of Malaysia's traditions -- the "bunga manggar"
       and the "sirih jun jung," symbols of welcome in Malaysia.

       The cultural troupe's performances will be held in conjunction
       with Malaysia's 2001 Trade Mission to the United States.
