WHAT:       will join approximately 5,000 students to make an historic
            announcement that will change the lives of every senior
            graduating from every Philadelphia public and charter
            school in 2004.

WHEN:       Tuesday, September 30th at approximately 11:15 am

WHERE:      Temple University Liacouras Center (Broad and Cecil B.
            Moore Avenue)

DETAILS:    Public school students, their parents and teachers from
            throughout Philadelphia will be gathering for the 2003
            College Awareness Rally held by the Office of Career &
            College Awareness and GEAR UP to get the children excited
            and motivated about post secondary education and the
            various career paths available to them.

            None of the students attending are aware that a surprise
            announcement will be made that will have an immediate
            impact on every senior graduating from a Philadelphia
            public or charter school this year. Details about the
            announcement will only be made available at the rally and
            the information is being embargoed until that time.
