ADVISORY/Mysticom Extends Reach on Multiple Media With Live 10Gbps Demonstrations at Communication Design Conference.

News/Assignment Editors & High-Tech Writers

Communications Design Conference 2002

ADVISORY...for Tuesday (Sept. 24)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

Who: Mysticom, a leading provider of high-speed communications
        solutions

What: Mysticom validates adaptability and superior performance of
its MY3004 with two live demonstrations

The MY3004, a 10 Gigabit Ethernet PHY and Backplane
transceiver, is demonstrating extended data transmission
capabilities and superior performance in two real-world
network environments. The first demonstration displays error
free transmission at 3.125 Gbps over 10 meters of CAT5 cable
and also across a 70" FR4 copper backplane. The second
demonstration, an industry first, will showcase Mysticom's
MY3004 transmitting error free at 3.125 Gbps over 25 meters of
Gore's Infiniband copper cable. The demonstrations validate
the robustness and flexibility of Mysticom's MY3004 as a
viable low cost solution for multiple media including optical.

When: Tuesday-Thursday, September 24-26, 2002
        Hours: Tuesday 5:30-7:30PM
                Wednesday 10:00AM-5:00PM
                Thursday 10:00AM-3:00PM

Where: Communication Design Conference (Booth #1112)
        San Jose Convention Center
        San Jose, California

Notes: Media interested in meeting with Mysticom at the Communication
Design Conference should stop by Mysticom's Booth #1112 or
contact Janice Mackey at 650/429-0261 to schedule an
        appointment.

About Mysticom

Founded in 1997, Mysticom provides complex DSP (1) (Digital Signal Processor) A special-purpose CPU used for digital signal processing applications (see definition #2 below). It provides ultra-fast instruction sequences, such as shift and add, and multiply and add, which are commonly used in math-intensive  and mixed-signal VLSI VLSI: see integrated circuit.

Mysticom's products range from 10/100 Mbps Ethernet PHY See physical layer and physical.  cores to 10 Gbps transceiver (TRANSmitter reCEIVER) An electronic device or circuit that transmits and receives analog or digital signals. It comes in many forms; for example, a transponder on a satellite, a network adapter in the computer or the circuits in a cellphone.  integrated circuits Integrated circuits

Miniature electronic circuits produced within and upon a single semiconductor crystal, usually silicon. Integrated circuits range in complexity from simple logic circuits and amplifiers, about 1/20 in. (1.
