WHAT:             Only five days left to grab a walking map at Pioneer
                  Place, or online at www.kowsforkids.com, and check
                  out all of the Kows for Kids life-size kows before
                  they are permanently removed from Portland's
                  streets.

                  On Sunday, June 30, members of the Dairy Farmers of
                  Oregon will corral all of the kows, load up four
                  cattle trucks and take them to the barn, where 50
                  will be readied for live auction on July 13 at the
                  Hillsboro Global Aviation Jet Hangar.

WHEN:             Sunday, June 30 at 4 p.m. a caravan of trucks will
                  head downtown to herd the kows. (If you are
                  unavailable at 4 p.m., please contact us and we can
                  give you additional locations.)

WHERE:            Cattle trucks will rally at the barn, formerly
                  Jackson Machine Shop, on the southwest corner of
                  NW 14th & Northrup.

WHO:              The Kows for Kids campaign is dedicated to raising
                  $1 million for New Avenues For Youth and Trillium
                  Family Services, two non-profit organizations
                  committed to providing services to at-risk youth.

                  The Kows for Kids campaign includes:

                    Life-size Kows: 108 life-size kows designed by
                    local artists and sponsored by local companies. Go
                    to www.kowsforkids.com to see pictures of each kow
                    and place bids online. Fifty of the life-size kows
                    will be auctioned off at the July 13 gala.

                    Nordstrom Designer Kows: 31 small kows designed by
                    fashion industry icons like Cole Haan, Bobbi Brown
                    and Tommy Bahama. Bidding ended June 10, but one
                    was reserved for the auction on July 13.

                    Mini-Moos: 113 miniature kows decorated by youth
                    from 70 area schools, sponsored by the Diary
                    Farmers of Oregon. Bidding ended June 10 but a
                    select group will be sold in a silent auction at
                    the July 13 gala.

                    Kows Merchandise: Collectible Kows for Kids
                    merchandise is for sale at Meier & Frank, Norm
                    Thompson, Hanna Andersson, Nordstrom Downtown
                    Portland, Pioneer Place, Saks Fifth Avenue, The
                    Bee and Thistle, Boyd's Barista, Desperado,
                    Emanuel and Good Samaritan gift shops, Este's
                    Men's Clothing, Fire's Eye Gallery and Wizer's
                    Market. There are signed Ms. Amoorica kows, a
                    brand new kowtalog, figurines, note cards, stuffed
                    animals, magnets and more.
