WHAT:       More than 20 women from Alabama and Georgia who currently
            work in construction will meet an original "Rosie" and
            talk about her book 103 Rosie the Riveter Stories.
            Birmingham resident Frances Tunnell Carter went to work at
            an industrial metal project during WWII. She will meet
            with BE&K women currently working in heavy industrial
            construction in a celebration of the 6th Annual Women in
            Construction Week.

VISUALS:    6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2003

        --  Frances Tunnel Carter will be clad in her "Rosie" work
            clothes including her WOW (Women Ordinance Worker)
            bandanna and overalls as she recounts her work drilling,
            riveting, and bucking rivets as she made interior
            modifications on B-24s and B-29s.

        --  Frances' husband John, a WWII paratrooper, will join the
            lively discussion and talk about the key role women played
            in the war effort.

        --  BE&K's modern day "Rosies" the women who weld, wire, and
            hammer the power plants, manufacturing plants, and
            chemical facilities - the heavy industrial construction
            that BE&K services - will talk about how things have
            changed in the 60 years since Frances picked up the torch.
