ribbon-cutting ceremony dedicating the College of DuPage Computer
Crimes Lab located at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy, one of
the first labs in the nation dedicated to the prevention,
detection and prosecution of Internet crimes. Joining Hastert will
be Microsoft Chief Operating Officer Bob Herbold and College of
DuPage President Michael T. Murphy. The lab was made possible by a
donation from Microsoft Corp. and Omni Tech Corp., a technology
solutions provider based in Pewaukee, Wisc.
Mike Sullivan, a Naperville Police detective and Suburban Law
Enforcement Academy instructor, will demonstrate how the new
Computer Crimes Lab equipment can be used to navigate the
Internet, seize and search computers, and locate evidence needed
for a successful prosecution.
