WHAT:             State Sen. Bob Margett (R-Arcadia) and officials
                  from Three Valleys Municipal Water District join in
                  as Metropolitan Water District presents Rancho Santa
                  Ana Botanic Garden with a $3,300 check to support
                  the garden's fall horticulture lecture series and
                  spring wildflower show. Metropolitan will also join
                  the garden's Director's Circle membership group.

BACKGROUND:       Now in its third year, Metropolitan's Community
                  Partnering Program has earmarked nearly $600,000 for
                  support of water-related education projects and
                  programs throughout Southern California, including
                  $3,300 to support native plant educational efforts
                  at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden.
