WHO: Mervyn's California and The Salvation Army Santa Fe Springs
Transitional Living Center (TLC) sponsor a Back-to-School
shopping spree for 45 TLC youth.
WHAT: Each child will receive $100 to spend on brand-new clothes
during a two-hour shopping spree at the Mervyn's California
Whitwood Mall. Each child will also receive school supplies
thanks to contributions from Target, Toys "R" Us, Quaker
City Bank, City of Santa Fe Springs, Orange County Costa
Rica Lions Club and Greenleaf Marketing Corp.
WHERE: Mervyn's California Whitwood Mall, 15602 Whitwood Lane,
Whittier
WHEN: Saturday, Aug. 5
7:30 to 11 a.m. (shopping spree is from 8 to 10 a.m.)
HOW: The Santa Fe Springs Firemen Association and Model A Car
Club will transport the children from TLC to the mall.
Members from Soroptomist will chaperone the children during
the shopping spree.
