What happened on that day of national tragedy inspired America and demonstrated the enduring American spirit that makes our nation a beacon of freedom throughout the world. A sculpture will stand in front of the school and bears the handprints of the more than 400 students and many from the faculty and the community. Drummer Devon VrMeer completed the trio. , were asked to recommend book titles that promote the ideals on display in Shanksville that day and the days to follow. Cornell Companies is donating copies of those books to a special memorial collection being established in the school library. A list of the books will be distributed to the media.
