ADVISORY/Meet Two of NE Ohio's Hottest Digital CEO's.

Business Editors

ADVISORY for...March 28

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

The Northeast Ohio Software Association (NEOSA) is an information technology trade association dealing with the cutting edge issues of workforce development, access to capital and handling the development of products at the `internet speed' required of companies in the industry. The upcoming March 28 NEOSA meeting deals with these topics as IT industry members are invited to hear from the CEOs of two of NE Ohio's hottest digital companies and meet the faculty of the IT department at the University of Akron.

Speaking about lessons learned in managing the explosive growth experienced by their companies are Packy Hyland of Hyland Software and Dr. Yung-Fu Chang of Accelent Systems, Inc. Packy Hyland is the founder and CEO of Hyland Software, whose major product, OnBase, is an enterprise software that combines the technologies of document imaging, COLD/ERM, document management, and workflow into a single web-enabled application. Hyland Software was recently ranked the 70th fastest growing company in USA by Inc. Magazine and is undoubtedly the fastest growing privately held company in Ohio. Dr. Yung-Fu Chang is the founder and CEO of Accelent Systems, Inc., an Akron company that has emerged as a leading enabler of Internet access devices with products developed to maximize recent technological advances in mobile computing, embedded systems and information appliances. Accelent recently received a $5.5 million first round funding commitment from M Group, Inc., a private investment company based in Birmingham, Michigan.

NEOSA was invited to the University of Akron by the University's President, Dr. Luis M. Proenza, who will introduce his faculty and brief industry members on the IT programs currently available at the University. This continuing interface between academicians and IT business leaders is critical to developing the workforce required by this industry.

Meeting details are as follows:

WHEN: Tuesday, March 28, 3:00 PM -- 5:30 PM WHERE: University of Akron, College of Business Administration, Room

120 COST: Free for NEOSA members, $30 nonmembers RESERVATIONS: Please e-mail reservations to RSVP@NEOSA.org (Include your mailing address so parking passes and directions can be sent.)
