It was created by the Pennsylvania Legislature on August 26, 1971 and that October, Henry Kaplan was appointed as its first Executive Director. The Lottery premiered on March 7, 1972. Instant Games, will introduce himself today, Monday, March 15, through a feature interview. Gus, the second-most famous groundhog in Pennsylvania, will answer questions regarding why he was selected as the new spokesperson for Lottery's instant games, how he plans to help increase funds for older Pennsylvanians and where consumers can expect to see him in the coming months.
