WHAT: Digital TV Zone Activities Underway Throughout Indianapolis.
On January 30, 2002 Mayor Bart Peterson, the National
Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Consumer Electronics
Association (CEA) announced Indianapolis as a Digital TV Zone
Ongoing activities and updates include:
Digital Landmarks have been installed throughout the city, so
residents and visitors in Indianapolis can now experience
Digital TV firsthand at the following locations:
-- Conseco Fieldhouse (RCA HDTV set in main lobby)
-- Indianapolis City-County Building (RCA HDTV set in main lobby)
-- Indianapolis International Airport (RCA and Mitsubishi HDTV
sets, multiple locations)
-- NCAA Hall of Champions (Samsung HDTV set in the Great Hall)
-- Visit Indy.Info at the Circle Center Mall (RCA HDTV set in the
store in Circle Center Mall)
An Indianapolis Digital Family has been selected to represent
Indianapolis in a true-to-life HDTV in-home experience. The
Digital Family will document and record their life with an
HDTV for 30 days. A lucky family in Fishers has been selected
and installation will occur on Sunday, March 3.
MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
