WHAT: MoneyGram Payment Systems, Inc., will break ground for its new
68,000-square-foot building in the Academy Park area of
Lakewood. The mayor of Lakewood, Steve Burkholder, will be
speaking at the event.
WHERE: The new building will be constructed at 3940 South Teller,
about two blocks from MoneyGram's current facility on West
Mansfield.
Travelers Express/MoneyGram officials expect to move the company's 500 Denver-based employees into the new facility in April, 2002. The design will allow future expansion on the seven-plus acre site. MoneyGram has signed a ten-year lease with Opus opus (ō`pəs) [Lat.,=work], in music, term used in cataloging a composer's works, designating either a single composition or a group published together or considered a unit.
