WHAT:  Press Conference with Mayor Vera Katz, along with
       representatives from the National Association of Broadcasters
       (NAB) and Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).

       On January 9, 2002, Portland was named as one of only three
       cities in the entire nation to be honored as a "Digital TV
       Zone." The media is invited to a press conference where Mayor
       Vera Katz will kick off the fully integrated educational
       campaign -- focused increasing awareness of Digital TV -- by
       accepting the official designation and unveiling exciting
       specifics to the program.
