WHAT:   Fannie Mae (NYSE:FNM), the nation's largest source of
        financing for home mortgages, will announce a multibillion
        dollar housing plan for Chicago - its largest investment plan
        in the country and the single largest housing investment in
        the history of the City of Chicago. Mayor Richard Daley, U.S.
        Representative Bobby Rush (tentative), Alderman Arenda
        Troutman and other community and housing partners will join
        Fannie Mae's Vice Chair, Jamie Gorelick, for the announcement,
        which will help thousands of Chicago families achieve
        homeownership. The announcement will be held at Antioch Homes
        II in Englewood, the groundbreaking site of 57 new affordable
        apartments. This development was made possible through Fannie
        Mae's $3.8 million investment in the property, which qualifies
        for federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
