WHAT: On February 5th, Mayor Cameron Smythe will take part in a
ceremonial ribbon cutting while ushering Chamber of Commerce
executives, Newhall Land and Valencia Town Center guests and
local residents through the new, 50-foot-high atrium entrance
to Valencia Town Center's brand new dining atmosphere. After a
year of construction and development, the long-awaited Atrium
Cafes is now open, featuring some of the Center's old
favorites as well as tasty new choices. In addition to the
ribbon cutting, youngsters from Sunshine Pre-school will
showcase Atrium Cafes' innovative family restroom and eating
areas by being the first to try out the new child-size tables,
chairs and amenities.
Atrium Cafes includes the latest in design and construction
finishes, with natural light provided by 12 huge skylights.
Featuring a beautifully patterned terrazzo tile floor with
booth, table and counter seating, Atrium Cafes offers a dining
experience for 600 patrons, including exterior seating at the
new entrance on the northeast side of the food court, which
provides additional easy access and parking for patrons. This
entrance will also feature the relocated children's tiles that
previously encircled the Carousel and are being installed on
the wall. Expected at the Atrium Cafes grand opening are
several youngsters who originally designed the newly-relocated
tiles.
The new Atrium Cafes now features Cinnabon, Hot Dog on a
Stick, Panda Express and Sbarro's. And, in just a few weeks,
shoppers will be able to enjoy the dining delectables of
Arby's, Charley's Grilled Subs, The Crepe House, Little Tokyo,
Mongolian Grill, Stone Oven and Surf City Squeeze.
