As a national supporter of NCMEC NCMEC National Center for Missing & Exploited Children NCMEC National Concrete and Masonry Engineering Conference , Canon has also created a national ad campaign featuring the pictures of 30 missing children from around the United States. The ad has run in a number of national newspapers and magazines, including Time, Newsweek, USA Today, People and PC magazine. Since the ad first started running in May, nine children depicted in the ad have been recovered. Canon's other efforts have included providing information on child safety through its Web site and 800 toll-free number. Golf-tournament activities begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at approximately 3 p.m., with a check presentation to Ernie Allen, president, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Fliers of missing children from the Las Vegas area, a display of equipment used by law enforcement, and additional information on child safety and prevention will be on display. |
