Majette (born May 18, 1955) is a Democratic U.S. politician from the state of Georgia. Born in Brooklyn, she attended Yale University and completed a Juris Doctor degree at Duke University in 1979. (GA-04) will make two special deliveries for UPS the first, a $75,000 donation to Special Olympics Special Olympics International sports program for people with intellectual disability. It provides year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type summer and winter sports for participants. The grant will be used to support the five state competitions conducted annually and will offset the cost of facility rental, equipment purchase, and officials' fees. After the ceremony, Rep. Majette will put on a UPS uniform and accompany a driver as he makes deliveries in DeKalb County. During the presentation, a Special Olympics athlete will talk to an audience of over 200 UPS drivers and employees about the impact and importance of SOGA, whose goal is to help bring persons with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions whereby they are accepted, respected, and given the chance to become useful and productive citizens. Through successful experiences in sports, athletes gain confidence and build a positive self-image self-image n.
