-- Lucent is announcing and demonstrating for the first time its iCosm(TM)suite
of communications applications. iCosm solutions leverage emerging technologies,
such as IP telephony, speech recognition and wireless, to personalize and
integrate communications activities with customers and/or co-workers. iCosm
Messaging, iCosm Interaction Manager, iCosm Liaison and iCosm Collaborative
Video are industry standard software solutions that work separately or
seamlessly together to create customer care, advanced communications and
collaborative solutions. iCosm software will be demonstrated at CT Expo on
Lucent's recently released IP ExchangeComm System, a next-generation, open,
distributed IP telephony communications system and other open platforms.

-- Lucent will also be demonstrating for the first time its recently announced
Web Communications Server for small businesses. The Web Communications Server
offers an easy way for companies to quickly set up a Web site for e-business.
The solution, which includes the Web Communications Server, MERLIN MAGIX(TM)
Integrated System and MERLIN(R) Messaging 2.0 provides everything a business
needs to create a Web site, and utilizes Encanto Networks' Instant Connect
service for shared Internet access, Internet domain name management, e-commerce
payment processing and on-line enhanced business services. The solution also
offers users enriched communications by combining voice mail and e-mail in a
single mailbox.
