Groundbreaking Thursday, Feb. 10, at 10:30 a.m.
WHO:       Larry Stone, executive vice president and COO of
           Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse and other Lowe's
           executives, along with California Secretary of Trade
           and Commerce Lon Hatamiya and Perris Mayor Daryl
           Busch. California Governor Gray Davis and U.S.
           Senator Dianne Feinstein have also been invited.

WHAT:      Groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the
           construction of a new 1.25 million-square-foot
           regional distribution center in Perris, Calif.,
           that will serve nearly 100 Lowe's superstores in
           Southern California, Arizona and Nevada.

WHERE:     Southeast corner of Indian Avenue and the Ramona Expressway
           near Interstate 215

WHEN:      Thursday, Feb. 10, at 10:30 a.m.


Media will have the opportunity to interview Lowe's officials on their West Coast expansion plans, home industry trends and economic impact for the region.

The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a light reception.
