ADVISORY/Los Angeles Times Career Days Employment Expo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- WHAT: Recruiters from a wide range of industries throughout Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, will be on hand at the Los Angeles Times' Career Days Employment Expo to meet with job seekers and discuss employment opportunities. More than 8,000 job seekers are expected to attend. Special services for those attending the fair include: -- Free admission. -- Resume Distribution Center. Attendees can have their resume put into a Career Days database to be distributed to participating job fair companies. WHY: The job fair, sponsored by The Times Classified Advertising Department, is an extension of the newspaper's traditional role in linking employers and job seekers. The fair is held in conjunction with the publication of "Jubilee of Jobs," a special Classified section published on Sunday, Sept. 27.
