ADVISORY/Los Angeles Times Career Days Employment Expo.

WHAT: Recruiters from a wide range of industries throughout Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  will be on hand at the Los Angeles Times' Career Days Employment Expo to meet with job seekers and discuss employment opportunities. More than 8,000 job seekers are expected to attend.

Special services for those attending the fair include:

-- Free admission.

-- Resume Distribution Center. Attendees can have their resume

put into a Career Days database to be distributed to

participating job fair companies. There is a $10 fee for

this service.

-- Photocopying service available.

-- Free Career Workshops provided by the Professionals in

Human Resources Association (PIHRA PIHRA Professionals in Human Resources Association ) and Careerpath.com.

-- Free admission to Career Days Employment Forums.

-- Career Enhancement Center with representatives from

Southland schools and training institutions.

-- Sweepstakes drawings.

WHY: The job fair, sponsored by The Times Classified Advertising Department, is an extension of the newspaper's traditional role in linking employers and job seekers. The fair is held in conjunction with the publication of "Jubilee of Jobs," a special Classified section published on Sunday, Sept. 27.

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 29 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

WHERE: The Los Angeles Convention Center The Los Angeles Convention Center (abbreviated LACC) is a convention center in downtown Los Angeles. The LACC hosts annual events such as the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, and was best known to video games fans as host to E3 until its cessation in 2006.  Hall A Located at 1201 Figueroa St., Los Angeles
