ADVISORY/Los Angeles Southwest College Unveils $111 Million Program to Transform Campus; College Breaks Ground on New Student Services Center.

What: In a ceremonial groundbreaking, Los Angeles Southwest College
      (LASC) will unveil the first phase of a comprehensive campus
      re-design and provide details for a new $14.1 million student
      services center. The Student Services/Educational Center is
      the first major construction funded by Proposition A, the
      facilities bond approved by Los Angeles Community College
      District (LACCD) voters in April 2001. It also is the first
      new construction effort under LASC's facilities master plan,
      which will be completed through funding by Proposition AA,
      which was passed on May 20, 2003. The construction of a new
      child development center, maintenance operations building,
      4,000-seat stadium, parking lot and physical education fields
      and courts and other educational projects under the college
      master plan are scheduled for completion within the decade.

        south of parking facility.)
