WHAT:   The Los Angeles Fire Department dedicates four new fireboats
        and retires four older fireboats on the same day. This
        historic occasion will be highlighted by the largest fireboat
        water display in the history of the Port of Los Angeles. On
        this day Fireboat #2, the world's most powerful, will be
        dedicated and the 78-year-old Ralph J. Scott fireboat will be
        retired.

WHEN:   Saturday, April 12, 2003
        10:00 a.m.

WHERE:  Fire Station 112 (6th Street and Harbor Blvd., San Pedro)

WHO:    Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn
        Councilwoman Janice Hahn
        Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski
        Los Angeles Fire Chief William Bamattre

        Multiple fireboat water display; dedication of new Fireboat
        #2, the world's most powerful fireboat; retirement of the
        historic Ralph J. Scott fireboat; current and retired
        Firefighters who have served on the vessel over its 78-year
        history.
